After leaving Algeria the Morel family took over the Chateau de Gaube. From 1956, the earliest distillations produced elegant, sophisticated armagnacs. M. Morel personally selected the oak used to make large vats in which their armagnac was to age for 40 years and more. The baco grape is the favoured grape at Chateau de Gaube, producing spectacular armagnacs year after year.
