Description :
The oldest armagnacs from the Château de Juliac are to be found in our cellars in Roquefort. Their approach has changed since 1975; nowadays their armagnacs are reduced and the oldest vintage at the château is 1962. Our collection starts with the 1956 vintage. The grape variety has also changed; once almost the whole vineyard was planted with baco grapes whereas now the majority of grapes are St Emilion. To resume, because of the new direction taken by the estate, the Bas Armagnacs they currently produce are not of great interest to us. The vintages we propose are a perfect balance between aromas, tannins and alcohol. Distilled at 56% vol back then, they are still full of life and are all still in their oak casks.
